What if things are getting better?
If we let the evidence we see in the outside world influence us too much, we lose possibility and imagination, which are essential in solving the problems we need to solve. Resignation is the enemy, not faith.
Even though it might look like things are getting worse, what actions would you see to take if you knew it was getting better and that you were the one to help move it in that direction?
Bring it up and out
Your superpower is your choice, and your tool is your language. Speaking into supportive listening amplifies your superpower and your tool.
If you feel blocked in taking your next steps or seeing your next steps, find the right person or people to listen and hold space for you. Bring out into the light, bring some curiosity, and you will see down the path.
Doing the scary stuff
When fear tries to complicate things for you and keep you stuck in hesitation, make the choice to keep fear simple.
Notice fear, and instead of entertaining it and expanding its power by engaging with it, take quick action in the direction of your growth so you can redirect your energy back to the beautiful things that you’re doing all the scary stuff for.
Put yourself out there
The creative forces of our world respond to daily action because they operate on expansion.
When you make a decision to expand in an area of your life, the most essential practice is to put yourself out there. As you share yourself, ideas, and questions with the world, you will inevitably encounter bumps in the road, failures, and judgment. These uncomfortable experiences are integral to your growth as they help you become resilient and steadfast and can even teach you how to have fun regardless of the outcome.
Your expansion is not situational. It’s a decision you make that you support with your actions, no matter what.
Yes they can
We help others more when we see possibilities for them instead of seeing failure.
People will often rise to the occasion when we see them as capable, and seeing them as capable helps us give them the proper support.
All of the above also goes for our relationship with ourselves.
When you don’t know what to do
Just love them. It will help you see what to do, which is sometimes just to love them.
No matter what you end up doing, loving them will make it easier.
Imperfect conditions
If you decide ahead of time that you will show up and choose to succeed, no matter how imperfect the conditions feel, you are guaranteeing an easier path for yourself.
If you consider giving up or holding back every time things don’t feel easy or perfect, you are choosing the harder path, because you will be repeatedly wasting your energy on doubt, hesitation, and regret.
Decide to embrace challenge and experience the easier path.
Unlearning “learning”
You are designed to learn easily if you commit to unlearning that the things you don’t yet know are overwhelming or hard to find.
Discovery can be easy and even fun if you stay present and listen for the one thing to do right now and then do it.
Learning is a simple, right-now, present-moment, always-evolving, simple expression of who you are, not anything to resist.
Embrace the ripple
Somebody will feel your ripple even farther away than you imagine. Although the distant wave won’t feel as potent as the power of the initial impact, it is still changing things.
As you create something bigger than you, if you try to control it instead of supporting it, you stop the flow of the whole thing. Embrace the reach you can have.
A place for you to go
Positive imagination of the future gives you a place to go that no one else can take from you.
Your job is to help move us forward by visiting your special place, remembering the future that lives there and what it feels like, and letting that bigger vision lead you.
Considering the wrong factors
Whatever that decision is you are trying to make, stop wasting your energy considering the wrong things. You know what they are.
Weighting the issues, opinions, and fears of others (or your own) will keep you from focusing on the essential things like your purpose, contribution, expression, and life.
Lean into new
Just because it feels something other than easy doesn’t mean you should avoid it.
Just because it feels something other than easy doesn’t mean it has to be hard.
What if you could let it be new before labeling it anything else?
Do you own your life?
Having a goal allows you to own your life.
A goal doesn’t need to do with arriving at a future destination or obtaining a thing outside of yourself (and it can). A goal can be as simple as, “I experience feeling rested and healthy each day as I wake.”
Having a goal gives you a sensation and experience to help steer your life and guide your choice-making. When we don’t set our own goals and intentions, we end up living into somebody else’s.
Choose what you want, use it as a guide, and own your life.
Judgment slows us down
Not only does judging others slow us down, it takes the place of possibility and repurposes us.
When we feel the pull to use our energy towards judgment, we can use it as a signal that it is time to refocus on the more significant, more important thing so that we can stay in our purpose.
Noticing and discerning are different than dwelling. Allow the momentum of your commitment to keep you focused on the more significant thing.
When tiny takes you out
The details are necessary if they help you focus on what’s essential. On the other hand, the details are a drain if they distract you and keep you from the most meaningful thing.
Details can be supportive and don’t hide behind them.
Stay anchored
In your commitments. There are infinite accidental commitments, agendas, arguments, and opinions that we can take on and start to confuse as our own.
Use your breath to anchor you back in the now and your truth, experience, wisdom, and commitments. It takes focus and discipline to stay connected to your knowledge for your life, and that’s what your life is for. It is energy well spent.
A force of nature
You have incredible energy and life force within you, and each action or non-action you take makes an impact.
What would you like to be a force for today? This is your superpower- to choose how you use your energy.
Power and letting go
Power is letting go. We cannot use our energy correctly and create what we want if we are dead-set on holding onto things that don’t serve us anymore simply because they are familiar. Pushing through and holding on probably won’t get us where we want to go.
Letting go requires that we move into the unknown, which is why letting go is power. It takes strength to leap into the void, and you are strong.
It’s only growth with love
For personal growth and development to actually be growth, it has to show up as an ability to love ourselves and others more.
If we are “growing” and judging and punishing ourselves and others, it’s not growth. It’s a new bad habit. Failure is part of long-term success, so we must learn to love ourselves and others through unexpected breakdowns and not give up.
Love is the point of the whole thing, and if we make it the priority, it will help us go further than we ever imagined.
Truth versus agendas
Honoring your personal truth is different than forcing an agenda.
When you are aligned with your values and best self, you can trust yourself to release your attachment to the outcome and be of service to yourself and others.
You deserve to honor yourself. You are already whole, so you can allow for things to unfold and have fun trusting your inner compass.
