Freedom from and to
There are so many ways to be free. Your version of freedom in this moment will look different from someone else’s, and different than your version of freedom in the past. That is, inherently, the nature of freedom. You get to choose now.
To be liberated means you're free from what has bound you, and free to do or be the thing that is most powerful for you right now. Freedom can look like letting go of someone else’s rules, or it can look like loving yourself enough to adhere to a new level of discipline. Or it can be both. Only you can know, and you can only know for right now, right now.
Freedom doesn’t mean doing the easiest, laziest thing and acting with no concern for others. Your highest self takes all of what is most important into consideration naturally. To be liberated means letting yourself choose after you let go of your ideas about how it should be and trust yourself to do the best thing in the moment.
What does freedom look like for you right now? What is it time to be free from? And what is it time to be free to do?
