Not doing something you want to do
When you find yourself not doing something you want to do or know is best for you, it can be quite helpful to list the REAL reasons you aren’t doing it. Seeing your honest, yet small, reasons on paper can help you make choices that feel more aligned with who you want to be.
For example, most people will say they aren’t doing something because:
“I can’t.”
“I don’t have enough time.”
“Everything is fine anyhow.”
“I’ll do it later.”
And the real reasons are almost always:
“I’m scared. "
“It’s uncomfortable.”
“I’m prioritizing something else that is less important.”
It’s not bad to be scared, unwilling to be uncomfortable, or to prioritize something less important. You will get your power and your choice back when you are honest about it.
