The upside of seeking validation
Seeking validation gets a bad rap.
Of course, we do not need others to see our worth for it to be 100 percent. Ultimately, personal responsibility is about having a deep and profound respect for our human spirit and the divinity that is our essence. Seeking self-respect through the op’ opinions is a losing game.
However, having people reflect back to us the best they see in us is one of the greatest gifts when it comes to supporting us in being of service. Without this reflection, there is no way we can truly see what we are capable of, what our unique gifts are that we should stop downplaying and start amplifying, and how we best contribute to the world and to ourselves.
I highly recommend making it a practice to seek reinforcing feedback from people whose perspective you value. When we work with what is going right and what is unique about us, we can confidently share our gifts with the world.
What if you stopped seeking validation to prove your worth and started seeking the kind that helps you step into it?
